Rod Morris- played over 100 games for easts, Represented Aust in 1978 in 14 tests. Rod was in the first State of Origin team. He joined Easts in 1970 as a prop forward.
 
Jack Ryrie- a legend of the game in the 1940's Nicknamed "Gunboat" for the way he powered through the opposition. Due to the outbreak of the war never got the chance to represent his country only his state,
 
John Lang- outstanding hooker first represented Aust in 1980 against the Kiwis. Had the honour of representing QLD, NSW and AUST all in the one year. Member of the first State of Origin team.
 
Des Morris- played over 226 games for East's, played in 6 G/F teams with 2 as captain/coach. Is current Qld & Aust selector. First joined east's in 1968.
 
Bob Hagan- East's junior also played senior with east's. Hard quick step centre, represented Qld and Aust, played for Canterbury in Sydney. Came back to play for east's. Became a successful coach after he retired. Older brother of Parramatta coach Michael Hagan.
