On the local footy scene, coaches for this year’s Carlton League are: Dapto - Mat Head, Dapto are looking for a big season after missing the finals last year.
Wests - Paul McGregor, after leading Wests to their first premiership in his first season of coaching.
Helensburgh - Stuart Webb, re-appointed after taking the ‘burgh from last to the finals in his first season.
Thirroul - Ryan Powell, grand-finalist from last year.
Collegians - Aaron Raper, first year appointed after collies missed the finals last year. Corrimal - Terry Westblade, re-appointed.
Shellharbour -Peter Yatras, in his second year after making the finals in their first year last year, having won the Under-18’s last season.
New club University Titans -Barry Broome, winning the VB Cup competition undefeated last year. Also appointed as Conditioner with the Titans is Dave Taylor the ultra marathon performer.
Two noted absences from the competition are Port Kembla and Wollongong.
